If You See Something, Say Something

Yowie is one of several names for an Australian cryptid reputed to live throughout rural regions but predominantly reported in the eastern states of QLD, NSW and Victoria. The creature has its roots in Aboriginal oral history and is known as quinkin, joogabinna, Ghindaring, jurrawarra, myngawin, puttikan, doolaga, gulaga and thoolagal, yaroma, noocoonah, wawee, pangkarlangu, jimbra and tjangara by different tribal groups.
The Yowie is generally reported as a hairy hominid-looking creature between 5ft (1.5m) and 10ft (3m) tall. Its footprints resemble humans but generally have splayed toes. Foul odors are sometimes reported with these creatures.
